South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has reportedly slashed the price tags of its Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4 mini smartphones in India, so as to increase sales volumes.

Last year’s flagship Samsung device, the Galaxy S III, is currently available for purchase at Rs. 24,900 ($406 / €300), down from Rs. 27,000 ($441 / €326) before, AndroidOS reports.

It comes with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back.

Galaxy S4 mini, on the other hand, arrived on shelves only a few months ago, and it is currently up for grabs at Rs. 22,900 ($374 / €276), down from Rs. 26,000 ($425 / €314).

The handset features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, paired with 1.5GB of RAM. It also features an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and front camera for video calling.
