Samsung announced earlier this month at IFA 2013 trade fair that it would deliver the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to some of its high-end smartphones beginning October.

We reported a few days ago that Samsung had already started testing Android 4.3 for Galaxy Note II and it is expected to release it in late October or early November. The Galaxy S4 has been confirmed to receive the upgrade next month as well.

However, Canadian customers that own one of the devices confirmed to get the Android 4.3 upgrade in the coming months will have to wait a bit longer.

MobileSyrup reports that Samsung Canada’s Vice President, Enterprise Business Division, Paul Brannan announced during a presentation at the Canadian Wireless Trade Show that Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4 devices would receive the update beginning November.

It remains to be seen whether Canadian carriers will be able to offer their customers the promised update without considerable delays. Stay tuned for more on this.
