Samsung’s CEO JK Shin has just confirmed the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet will be made official next month at Mobile World Congress 2013, in Barcelona. He's also added that the Galaxy S IV will be announced “soon.”

According to News1, Samsung’s CEO made these surprising announcements during a meeting with the media at Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.

Even though no additional details have been provided on the Galaxy S IV launch date, there’s a high chance the smartphone will be unveiled at MWC 2013, in late February.

Although there are no details on the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S handset, we know quite a lot about Galaxy Note 8.0’s specs sheet.

The tablet will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform onboard, along with an 8-inch Super Clear LCD HD (1280 x 800 pixels) display. In addition, the slate will be powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
