Should start delivering the fix as an update to all handsets out there soon

Samsung is currently 'flashing' Galaxy Nexus units in the distribution channel to put new firmware on them in an attempt to resolve some volume problems the device was reportedly suffering from.

Galaxy Nexus, the latest Google phone out there, was made available in Europe last week, and users already discovered that it suffers from a series of issues affecting the volume controller.

Apparently, the volume turns down on its own, as if someone from outside is controlling the handset. Google was fast to acknowledge the problem, and said that a fix will arrive soon on devices in the form of a software update.

It appears that the South Korean phone maker is already making sure than new units arrive on shelves issue-free, though it remains to be seen when the update will be delivered to handsets already in users’ pockets.
