Owners of Samsung’s Windows Phone 8-based ATIV S smartphone in Italy can now download and install a new software version on their devices, in the form of firmware 2424.13.3.1.

Before the update, the handset had software version 2424.12.2.1 loaded on it, a recent article on Plaffo reads. The new software also bumps the radio version up to 2424.13.1.1 (from 2424.12.1.1 before), while the bootloader is brought up to version 13.02. 5.15.

While no official info on what the update includes has been provided, it seems that users have observed better performance for the luminosity sensor packed on the device (and improved screen luminosity).

The new software should be delivered to users over the air, but they can also search for it manually, by going to the Software Update section in the Settings menu on their Samsung ATIV S smartphones.
