With most eyes looking at Nokia’s Lumia series, which started to pick up steam lately, Samsung’s Windows Phone 8-based ATIV S hasn’t been in the spotlight for long, even if it has appealing capabilities to offer.

However, the latest price cut it has seen in the UK might help the ATIV S grab a bit more ground than before.

As WPCentral notes, the mobile phone is listed on Expansys’ website at only £269.99 ($420 / €320), after being available for £499.00 ($774 / €593) before.

The Samsung ATIV S sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display, along with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The Windows Phone 8 device also features a front camera for video calling, microSD memory card slot, a 2300 mAh battery inside, and all the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors.
