Samsung has already launched the Ativ S in the UK and is now planning to release the smartphone in North America. However, other countries won’t be so lucky as to receive the device this year.

According to WPArea.de, Samsung Ativ S has just been delayed to next year at T-Mobile Germany. Even though the smartphone was slated for a Q4 2012 release, it looks like Samsung and T-Mobile backtracked on the original announcement for unknown reasons.

Samsung Ativ S is the only Windows Phone 8 handset announced by the South Korean company and has been especially built to compete with Nokia Lumia 920.

In this regard, the smartphone is packed with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM. Stay tuned for more updates on the Ativ S upcoming launch in Germany.
