Android fans working in extreme conditions or those who spend a lot of time in tough and intensive conditions will be happy to know Caterpillar has just released the perfect smartphone for the most adventurous.

According to Eurodroid, the new Caterpillar CAT B15 is now available for purchase in the UK for £300 / €350 / $460 outright. Check it out here.

The rugged handset ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and features IP67 certification, enabling immersions in 1 meter of water up to 30 minutes. Caterpillar also claims the phone can withstand a 1.8 meter drop.

Specs-wise, the phone is equipped with a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It also sports a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p video recording.
