The color version might have been a very limited edition of the device

The Red flavor of the Nexus 5 smartphone arrived in the Google Play Store only about a week ago, but the device is already listed as out of stock in the online portal.

According to droid-life, the new color version of the latest Google phone out there has been listed as out of inventory for the entire weekend, which suggests that issues with its supply might have indeed emerged.

Chances are that demand for the smartphone was higher than Google might have expected it to be, though there’s also the possibility that the Red color was in fact a very limited edition of the device.

Nexus 5 has been selling very well since its official release, and LG itself suggested several week back that the handset helped its sales in the final quarter of the last year, despite the fact that it actually impacted the performance of LG G2.
