It looks like previous rumors on the upcoming release of the red Galaxy Nexus were accurate, as Sprint plans to debut the smartphone on February 4.

The folks over at AndroidPolice got their hands on a Sprint internal document which informs reps of the carrier that Google Nexus 5 in red will be available in Google Play store beginning February 4.

According to this document, the handset may not be available at Sprint’s brick and mortar stores, so those who wish to order the red Nexus 5 will have to do it online.

For the time being, it’s unclear if the red Nexus 5 will be available at T-Mobile as well, so the only thing that seems to have been confirmed is the fact that it will go on sale next week on Google Play store. Stay tuned for more on this one.
