The folks at Rdio have just updated their Android application with new features and improvements that promise a better performance and smoother user experience.

One of the most popular music streaming services, Rdio provides subscribers access to more than 18 million songs. Keep in mind that developers add new songs every week, so users can opt to listen to the new releases.

The latest version of Rdio of Android offers better caching of viewed albums and playlists, as well as better offline and online handling. Users will now be able to choose custom storage location.

There's also a new player UI, new languages (Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish) and a Help section in lefthand sidebar. Last but not least, Rdio claim they have fixed a possible crash at startup.

Rdio 2.4.7 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
