The problem was resolved only hours after being initially signaled

Research In Motion is still having issues with its BlackBerry services, weeks after experiencing a major outage that affected its worldwide network.

This time around, however, only a small number of users have been affected by the problem, which caused emails and messages to arrive on devices later that intended.

RIM was fast to announce via Twitter that some users are experiencing delays, and that they were looking into the matter.

“We’re getting reports that some users are experiencing delays. We’re investigating and will update you ASAP,” the company's message from several hours ago stated.

Soon after, the company announced that things have been put back in order: “Update: BlackBerry services are currently operating normally in EMEIA.”

Last month, RIM's network was down for about three days in a row, due to a series of issues that first emerged in EMEIA, but reached Americas as well.
