One of the smartphones that Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC was rumored not long ago to plan on making official before the end of the year was HTC Zara, a device that can be admired today in what seems to be the first leaked press photo with it.

Available courtesy of @evleaks, said photo shows both the front and the back of the device, though the phone’s screen is blurred (as Android Police notes, the photo is watermarked @urbanstrata, pointing at Jeff Gordon, HTC's senior global online communications manager).

HTC Zara is expected to prove a mid-range smartphone, packing a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) screen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor inside, and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, rumor has it that the device will land on shelves with 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, as well as with a 2100mAh battery.

The handset should arrive on shelves in the fourth quarter of the year with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 loaded on top.
