It looks like Philips insists on bringing affordable Android smartphones on the Chinese market and disregard other emerging markets.

The latest handset coming soon in the Mainland is called Xenium W9588 and has been recently spotted by UnwiredView via Chinese site MyDrivers.

Philips Xenium W9588 features a flip form factor and comes with a dual 3.5-inch WVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The phone is powered by a 2400 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 16 hours of talk time or up to 10 hours of web browsing. Philips Xenium W9588 will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.
