A new version of the Paranoid custom ROM is now available for download for Nexus devices out there, namely Paranoid 4 Beta 3, which is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

The new release arrives on Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones (and on Nexus 7 2012 and 2013, and Nexus 10, for that matter) with new boot animation, designed to put together two winning submissions from the ROM's fan and developer community.

At the same time, the new release sports a “Quick Settings” feature, which enables users to toggle some settings much easier than before.

There’s also the KitKat “Immersive Mode” that can be tweaked to hide either the status bar alone, or only the navigation bar, or both of them, if needed.

Paranoid Android 4 Beta 3 also allows users to maximize lock-screen widgets, sports a contextual “on-the-spot” preference dialog, and comes with a variety of bug fixes packed inside. Users can download the available builds from the Paranoid Android website.
