The handset sports a 4.5-inch screen, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Today, wireless carrier Orange announced the upcoming availability of its first Orange 4G smartphone, the Orange Lumo, which is expected to become available for purchase in a series of European markets in the first half of the year.

The new device is meant to expand the Orange lineup of smartphones to new areas, while also being capable of providing users with appealing performance on the go.

The new Orange Lumo device hits shelves not only with support for LTE connectivity, but also with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, and with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back. Furthermore, the smartphone runs under Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

For the time being, the wireless carrier did not offer specific info on the pricing of the smartphone. However, it did confirm plans to showcase it at MWC 2013 in Barcelona.
