2015 has just started and we’re already been treated with a lot of goodies. Cyanogen has started rolling out its latest custom ROM for a slew of devices, including tablets and smartphones.

CyanogenMod 12 is based on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, which is Google’s latest OS variation.

For the time being the Nightlies are available for 30 devices including the Nexus 4,6,7 (2013 Wi-Fi), OnePlus One, LG G3, HTC One (M7) and (M8), Motorola Moto G and X, Oppo Find 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I545 (for Verizon), Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195 and GT-I9190), Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.

If you’re not familiar with the term, Nightlies refers to a “beta” stream of the custom ROM, so expect to encounter some bugs. Also a few new features might not be supported yet.

Cyanogen says they are about 85% complete with the release of the CyanogenMod 12M. It’s also important to note that the team will switch to officially pushing CM11 to weekly builds, as to concentrate on CM12 instead.

CM11 is currently in M12 version and M13 will also see the light of day at some point.

Anyway, if you are the owner of one of the devices listed above and you want to give CM12 a try, head on to the download “L is for Lollipop” page.
