The official BitTorrent application for Windows Phone was launched back in December 2012. Three months after being released on Windows Phone Store, the application receives its first major update.

Dubbed BitTorrent Remote, it allows users to access BitTorrent on their home computer while on the go. The latest version comes with a few new features and improvements, some of which may be based on user feedback.

According to the changelog, the update brings Windows Phone 8 support, along with a new offline mode that allows users to take advantage of the application when their PC client is offline.

In addition, developers added more torrent controls, including pause and force start. Some bug fixes have been included in the update as well.

BitTorrent Remote 1.1.0.0 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and up. Check it out here.
