The new update does not come with an official changelog

Microsoft has just updated its Office Lens application for Windows Phone devices, but it did not share any details regarding the changes included.

For those unfamiliar with this application, Office Lens allows Windows Phone owners to use their devices as a scanner. You can capture pictures of whiteboards, as well as make digital copies of printed documents, business cards, or even posters.

Office Lens features multiple modes, such as Whiteboard mode and Document mode. The former enables users to trim and clean up glares and shadows, while the latter provides users with the option to trim and color images to look better.

Keep in mind that Office Lens requires users to log in with their Microsoft Account, so if you don’t have one you won’t be able to use it. Also, the Microsoft Account must be the same as the one registered on the device.

With the latest update for Office Lens, Microsoft is likely to have squashed some bugs and improved the overall performance of the application, but without an official changelog there’s no way to tell for certain.

You can now download Office Lens for Windows Phone 1.0.2628.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
