The quad-core chip will power smartphones and tablet PCs

Nvidia has just unveiled a ton of details on their quad-core Tegra 3 application processor for mobile devices, and also delivered some demonstrations of its capabilities, noting that users will benefit from a great experience when playing games of phones or tablets that are powered by this chip.

In the video embedded above, you can have a look at what gaming on a Tegra 3-based device is all about, while also learning more on some of the mobile games that have been optimized for the platform.

Featuring a quad-core design, to which it adds a powerful GPU core, which determined Nvidia to call it a “five-core” chip.

Nvidia explains that, in the video, "the developers of Riptide, Shadowgun and Bladeslinger – just to name a few – show off some gameplay footage and explain how they are ushering in the next wave of mobile games using Tegra 3."
