Nokia to Unveil Cheaper Lumia Devices at MWC 2013 Reuters

The company might also unveil new Asha smartphones next week

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is gearing up for the launch of new Windows Phone-based smartphones next week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with a focus on the entry level of the market, it seems.

The company has been said before to plan the launch of cheaper smartphones to better compete against rival devices, and a new article on Reuters unveils that MWC 2013 will bring some of these to the spotlight.

Apparently, the company might unveil not only new, cheaper Windows Phone 8 smartphones, but also more entry-level Nokia Asha handsets, which are based on Nokia’s own Series 40 software.

For the time being, however, no specific info on the prices that these devices might feature have been provided, but all should become official in a matter of days, so stay tuned.
