It looks like Nokia plans to bring its Android smartphone on the market under a different name. Although the device is referred to as Nokia Normandy, the Finnish company is likely to launch it under Nokia X name.

The information has just emerged online via @evleaks, but there's no telling how accurate these details are until we get to more confirmations from other sources.

This is not the first time we hear about a device called Nokia X. Back in August 2012, Nokia was rumored to launch a new smartphone powered by Windows Phone 8. The new handset was internally known as Nokia X, but later on the information proved to be wrong.

It will be interesting if Nokia will indeed go with this name given the similarity with Motorola's Moto X, but we will probably know more in about a month when the Finnish company will announce its new lineup of smartphones for the first half of the year.
