Users will be able to control volume levels while content is playing

On Monday, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made available for download a new flavor of its Nokia audio application for Windows Phone 8-based Lumia devices, currently available for download as version 2.1.1.1.

The new application release does not arrive with a changelog attached to it, but a recent article on esphoneblog notes that it resolves a volume bug previously found on said devices.

Apparently, the issue emerged following the update to the Nokia Black software, which was widely pushed to devices earlier this year.

For some users, the bug resulted in the volume controls being completely useless sometime, it seems. Basically, people were able to press on the buttons, and the specific animations related to their actions were triggered, but nothing actually happened with the volume level of the playing content.

A workaround did exist, but was rather counterintuitive, as users needed to stop the playback, change the volume level, and then resume the playback.

The newly released version 2.1.1.1 of Nokia’s audio application resolves this issue, it seems, allowing users to enjoy an uninterrupted, better experience when playing content on their Lumia devices.

The updated app should arrive on devices in the not too distant future, but users can also grab and install it manually. You can download Nokia audio 2.1.1.1 from Softpedia today.
