The beta version of Z Launcher, Nokia's Android application, has just received a new update, which puts it one step closer to the final version.

So, before getting into details, keep in mind that this is version 1.1.15-Beta, so if you have an older version, then check for an update.

Among the most important changes included in the update are the new Z Launcher default icons, which can be enabled in Settings.

Then there are some changes aimed at Chinese language users. Developer Nokia has decided that for Chinese language users, the default search engine should be Baidu, instead of Google.

Moving on to bug fixes and improvements, Nokia has announced that the Z Launcher now features improved Scribble Handwriting recognition.

Also, a defect of Z Launcher interpreting a tap in the ranked list as a letter scribbled on the screen that has been bugging users for months has been finally fixed.

Lots of UI improvements for a wide range of Android devices have been implemented as well. Some other performance improvements are part of the update too, along with general bug fixes.

You can now download Z Launcher for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.
