The update brings along stability and performance improvements

Today, Nokia has announced the availability of a new firmware update for the owners of Nokia X Dual-SIM devices out there, made public as software version 1.1.2.2.

The new release will arrive on devices with a series of improvements packed inside, as well as with new and updated applications.

According to Nokia, the update will be delivered to all Nokia X Dual-SIM (model number RM-980) users out there and will come over-the-air.

As part of the new firmware, users will be provided with a series of stability and performance enhancements, as well as with various usability improvements.

Moreover, the new software iteration comes with Microsoft OneDrive and Contact Transfer apps packed inside, as well as with a brand-new flavor of the Nokia Store client.

As soon as the update is available for their devices, users will receive a notification on the matter, and they will be able to kick off the installation process right away, if they want to.

Additionally, they can also manually check on the availability of the update, by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates, and hitting the Check Now button.
