Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made available for download a new flavor of its Weather Channel app for Windows Phone devices, namely version 2.6.

The new app release comes with a series of UI changes packed inside, as well as with the option to create secondary live tiles for the weather for specific cities and pin them to the start screen.

The application was updated both for devices running under Windows Phone 7.5 and for those powered by Windows Phone 8.

The software, available exclusively on Nokia devices, comes with features such as Weather AR, My Friends’ Weather and My Amazing Day, so that users could enjoy as many personalization features as possible.

The Weather Channel app is available for download for free in the Nokia Collection in Windows Phone Store. It can be seen online on this page.
