As expected, Nokia has almost confirmed that it will introduce new Lumia smartphones early next month at Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 developer conference.

There have been lots of rumors that suggest that Nokia and Microsoft will unveil new Lumia smartphones next month, which have increased in number soon after the Finnish company did not announce any new Windows Phone devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair.

Today, Nokia has announced on its Conversations blog site that it will be present at Microsoft BUILD Developer Conference 2014, where it plans to announce new Lumia smartphones, most likely powered by Windows Phone 8.1.

Nokia Lumia 630/635 and Lumia 930 are expected to be launched next week, but we shouldn’t rule out other devices either. Here is what Nokia has to say about the upcoming Microsoft event:

“What makes 2014 so special is the exciting Microsoft and Nokia partnership, and boy, have we got some treats lined up for you. So when will you find out? Meet us here at Conversations on Wednesday April 2 where we’ll be revealing all.”

The first Nokia announcements should go live on April 2, but details on the upcoming devices might leak online in the coming days, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
