Nokia Maps, the popular mobile application that the Finnish mobile phone maker has made available for its Windows Phone 8 users as well, has been updated to version 3.1.177.8.

The new application release is already available for download through the Windows Phone Store, and can be found on this page in the software portal.

Nokia Maps 3.1.177.8 is said to have landed on Windows Phone 8 devices with a new traffic layer, designed to provide users with improved reliability and quality of flow information.

Furthermore, the application now enables users to get public transit schedules from the route planner. It also sports all the features already available in the software.

“Nokia Maps gives you new ways to discover the world around you, making you feel like a local wherever you go. Get reviews, uncover new places and reach them with smart routing for public transit, walking or driving,” Nokia notes in the app’s description.
