Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has decided to provide its users with a great deal when it comes to the purchase of the latest Windows Phone-based Nokia device on its network, the Lumia Icon, thus slashing the price tag of this device to only $99.99 (€72).

The deal, however, requires the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier and does not include activation fees. Those who would rather grab the device without committing to a contract will have to pay $549.99 (€397) for it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia Lumia Icon was made official in February this year, and that it is a Verizon exclusive Windows Phone device.

The handset comes to the market with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor inside, and 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the phone features 32GB of internal memory, no microSD memory card slot, and a 2420mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, Lumia Icon features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS receiver.

On the back, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel camera with full HD video recording capabilities, paired with a 1.2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go. To grab a Nokia Lumia Icon from Verizon, head over to this page on the carrier’s website.
