The Windows Phone 8 device is priced at Rs. 33,499 ($517 / €387)

Today, Nokia has officially announced the immediate availability of its Windows Phone 8-based Nokia Lumia 925 smartphone on the market in India.

The handset is available for purchase in stores nationwide starting today, with a price tag of Rs. 33,499 ($517 / €387) attached to it, as UnleashThePhones notes.

Nokia Lumia 925 was made official back in May with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor inside, and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the handset packs 16GB of internal memory, a 2000mAh battery, support for 3G HSPA+ networks, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.1, GPS and NFC capabilities.

On the back, it includes an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and full HD video recording, paired with a 1.2MP front camera to enable video calling while on the go.
