Nokia fans in Ireland will probably be disappointed to hear that the Finnish company plans to launch its new Lumia series in the country only next year.

IrelandsTechnologyBlog reports Nokia officially introduced the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in Ireland and said both smartphones would be available for purchase starting February 1, 2013, from all channels.

However, the handset maker also confirmed it would put both handsets on sale in some channels from the week commencing January 21, 2013.

“We see the Lumia 920 as one of the most exciting phones we have launched at Nokia. It includes some truly ground-breaking innovations: wireless charging, a screen that automatically adjusts its color and brightness, depending on sunlight, a touchscreen that even works when you’re wearing gloves and best of all it’s a beautiful device; the Lumia 920 looks just awesome,” said Conor Pierce, VP for Nokia.
