Nokia’s Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 920 smartphone is now available for purchase in India at only Rs.31999 ($575 / €444) through online retailers such as Flipkart, free of contract.

The handset is offered along with a free Nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate with Zero Processing Fee on EMIs (the free processing is available only until May 31, WMPoweruser notes).

With new high-end devices arriving on shelves in the country, the price cut should help the smartphone gain some more traction among end users.

Lumia 920 sports a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

The Windows Phone 8 device also packs an 8.7-megapixel PureView photo snapper on the back, a front camera for video calling, LTE, NFC, GPS receiver, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and the usual set of sensors.
