Nokia Lumia 920 owners will be pleased to know that they will soon be able to add lots of new features and tweaks to their smartphones thanks to a new “jailbreak” that’s about to be released soon.

The so-called “jailbreak” for Nokia Lumia 920 is the work of XDA Developer forum user poandsoul team who takes credit for this hacking method.

The bad news is that there aren’t too many details on how it’s been done and what it brings in terms of new features and improvements.

The only aspect that’s been confirmed until now is the fact that the “jailbreak” is possible via USB, so no additional hardware devices such as JTAG are needed for accessing and modifying the phone.

There’s also a demo video that shows the results of the jailbreak, not the whole process of hacking the smartphone, but it’s not in English.

However, we can see the Lumia 920 running a three-column homescreen, which is a feature included on the latest Lumia 1520 phablet. Stay tuned for more on this one.
