Windows Phone 8.1, the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system, has been long rumored to start arriving on Windows Phone 8 handsets as soon as this month, and it seems that Nokia Lumia 625 users in Thailand are already receiving it.

The new OS flavor, made official back in April, has been available for download as a Developer Preview since the middle of that month, but Microsoft also promised it in a final flavor for all WP8 users, although it did not unveil a specific availability date for it.

However, the company has started testing the rollout of this platform upgrade recently, with owners of Nokia Lumia 925 being the first to receive it, and it seems that more devices are bound to get the OS refresh soon.

A recent article on Nokiapoweruser claims that Lumia 625 users in Thailand are already seeing the update arriving on their smartphones, but no official confirmation on the deployment has been provided as of now.

Apparently, the OS arrives on these smartphones as version 8.10.12397.895, which is also the build number that the latest Developer Preview update sports.

With Nokia Lumia 925 set to receive Windows Phone 8.1 (aka Lumia Cyan) in some more markets as soon as the next week, it would not come as a surprise if a full rollout was in the books for this timeframe. Hopefully, more on the matter will emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
