The smartphone was initially launched with WP 7.5 onboard
Nokia Lumia 610 was launched on the market back in April 2012 and is one of the cheapest Windows Phone devices released by the Finnish company.Although the smartphone was available with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango at launch, Nokia promised that, starting December 2012, the Lumia 610 would ship with a newer version of Windows Phone.
Today, the folks over at WPCentral report that the Lumia 610 now ships with Windows Phone 7.8 out of the box, so owners won’t have to wait a few more weeks until Nokia launches the official update.
The Lumia 610 is a budget-friendly smartphone, as the device is powered by an 800 MHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 256MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
The phone also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera and a pretty decent 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
