Good news for Windows Phone fans in Vietnam, as Microsoft plans to launch its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Lumia 530 this week.

According to Vietnamese blog Techrum, Microsoft has already started to send invitations to a launch event that is set to take place on August 1 in Ho Chi Minh. Dubbed “Rock the Color,” the event is believed to introduce the budget-friendly Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone in Vietnam.

Although there’s no word on the price tag, Nokia Lumia 530 should be available for less than $135 (€100), but the exact amount is likely to be announced later this week.

Nokia Lumia 530 is an entry-level smartphone that will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. The smartphone sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

The phone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 128GB via the microSD card slot. An additional 15GB of free cloud storage is available to owners as well.

The Lumia 530 also packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera that lacks flash, and is powered by a decent 1420 mAh battery. It’s also worth mentioning the phone’s back cover is exchangeable and owners can choose from a wide range of colors, including orange, black, white and green.
