Good news for customers who wish to switch to Windows Phone but did not find a handset suitable for them, as AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 520 is now available for just $38 (€28) outright (includes shipping).

The smartphone is now available on GoPhone prepaid via Amazon and those who order it can benefit from One-Day Shipping if they choose it so.

Nokia Lumia 520 is the bestselling Windows Phone handset to date and represents more than 30% of Windows Phone devices sale worldwide.

The smartphone recently got a successor, the Lumia 530, which comes with a new version of the Windows Phone operating system but doesn’t really offer enhanced features.

Anyway, for novices in Windows Phones, the Lumia 520 could be the perfect device. It sports a decent 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and packs a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1GHz.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Lumia 520 has only 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Nokia Lumia 520 is also eligible for the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update, which makes it an even better deal for those who wish to switch to Microsoft’s operating system.
