Nokia launched the Lumia 510 in India earlier this year and the smartphone became very popular among Windows Phone enthusiasts who cannot afford a Windows Phone 8 handset.

Nokia Lumia 510 ships with Windows Phone 7.8 operating system out of the box and packs an 800 Mhz single-core Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processor.

The smartphone has been up for sale in India for several weeks and now the folks at WMPoweruser report the Lumia 510 has been discounted at some retailers.

For example, Indian retailer GoProbo sells the Nokia Lumia 510 for only Rs 9,499 outright, which is about $175 or €135. Check it out here.

The Lumia 510 was initially available for purchase in India for Rs 10,999 ($200/€155) off contract, but due to the fact that Lumia 520 is about to arrive in the country, the former’s price has been slashed. Stay tuned for more on this.
