Lumia 1020, the latest high-end Windows Phone 8-based smartphone from Nokia, is expected to arrive on shelves in China on August 15, at least this is what a recent report from WPDang claims.

The 41-megapixel smartphone is expected to become available for purchase in the country exclusively via retailer Suning, and should sport a price tag of 4,000-5,000 Yuan (about $650 - $815, or €490 - €615).

For the time being, however, no specific info has been provided on whether a wireless carrier will be picking the device up or not, and it remains to be seen whether it will be sold unlocked, the same as many other phones in the country, or not.

As WMPoweruser notes, the latest reports on the smartphone market in China show that Nokia is strengthening its position there, and that Windows Phone grabbed 4.9 percent market share in the second quarter of the year.
