Nokia’s Lumia 1020 smartphone is set to become available for purchase in Brazil in October via wireless carrier Vivo, which is part of the Telefonica group.

Furthermore, as part of the agreement between Nokia and Telefonica, the carrier will provide users with the possibility to enjoy the 64GB flavor of the device next month, WPCentral notes.

A tecnologia.terra report notes that no specific info on the release date and pricing of Lumia 1020 in the country has been provided as of now.

The 64GB flavor of Nokia Lumia 1020 went available for pre-order at O2 UK today, and it should land on shelves at the wireless carrier on September 25.

The smartphone comes with a 41-megapixel camera on the back, the largest sensor available on a smartphone today. It runs under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system.
