Last month, Nokia announced a new smartphone running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, the Lumia 925. The phone packed a series of new features and capabilities, all set to land on older devices as part of a so-called Amber update.

Available courtesy of unleashthephones, the video offers a glimpse at an early build of the upcoming software, which is based on the Windows Phone GDR2 platform release.

As part of the update, owners of Windows Phone 8-based Lumia handsets will enjoy an always ON Clock, Double Tap to Wake functionality, a new Nokia Smart Camera App, FM Radio support, a DataSense feature available on more carriers, CalDav & CardDav support, and more.

No specific release date for the update has been provided as of now, but more should be unveiled soon, so stay tuned for additional details on the matter.
