A basic phone offering support for 3G networks in the country

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has finally made its Nokia 301 handset official in India after unveiling it to the world at the MWC 2013 show in Barcelona.

The new device comes to the market as a basic mobile phone capable of offering powerful features and support for 3G networks, all at only Rs. 5,349 ($90 / €69), as fonearena notes.

Featuring a 2.4-inch display, the handset is powered by Series 40 software and packs dual-SIM capabilities inside, paired with Easy Swap Dual SIM features.

Furthermore, it was launched with 64MB of RAM and 256MB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The specs list of the mobile phone also includes 3G (HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps), Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, a 1200 mAh battery, a 3.2MP camera on the back, 3.5mm audio jack, and Stereo FM Radio with RDS. Nokia 301 was launched in Cyan, Black, Yellow, Magenta, and White color flavors.
