Owners of Nexus 5 devices interested in changing the way their handsets look can now do so via a Sense 6.0 port that emerged over at the XDA-Developers Forum.

Right from the start, we should note that this is not a fully functional ROM, which means that many users might be disappointed when trying to take advantage of it for everyday operations.

In fact, the ROM’s publisher makes it clear that the build is currently destined mainly for testing purposes, and that the development process is still ongoing.

The XDA-Developers Forum member also calls out to other devs interested in the port to help in finalizing the port.

For the time being, many of the phone’s functions work with the new ROM, including, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Internal SDCard, Bluetooth, Sensors, and GPS.

However, those who will download and install it will see that there are issues with sounds, NFC, camera, notification LED, and the Wi-Fi hotspot.

Those interested in installing the port should head over to the XDA-Developers Forum for that. Before proceeding with the installation, they should back up all data on the handset, just to make sure that nothing is lost.

However, they should keep in mind that they are the only ones responsible in the event that anything happens with the device when installing the ROM, since it is not an official release.
