The phone is listed on a retailer’s website with said availability date

Mobile phone users in India interested in the purchase of a Nexus 4 smartphone might have a while to wait before being able to do so, it seems.

The handset has been initially said to be en-route to the country in late-November or early-December, but is now said to arrive by mid-January 2013.

Online retailer Saholic previously said that it would bring the device to India starting with December 1, but it is now listing the device with the aforementioned 2013 launch date attached to it.

As AndroidSoul notes, with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone running out of stock via Google Play, it is rather unlikely that regions where it was not launched just yet will receive it very soon.

However, there is also the possibility that the retailer is mistaken about the phone’s availability date, so stay tuned for more on the matter.
