Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE is gearing up for the release of new, high-end smartphones in the not too distant future, and at least one of them might sport a full HD screen, it seems.

The device has just emerged in a leaked photo next to the Apple iPhone 4S, with the aforementioned 1080p screen that can deliver a 441ppi pixel density.

The 5-inch panel on the smartphone’s front reminds us of the company’s ZTE Nubia Z5, which was announced several weeks ago, but which has yet to make an official appearance on shelves.

According to some reports, this device might actually prove to be the recently rumored ZTE Apache 8-core handset, though we doubt it.

The second photo that can be seen below is of another ZTE handset, also said to sport a 5-inch full HD screen, and which better fits previously leaked photos with Nubia Z5.
