New photos allegedly depicting the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone are now available for your viewing pleasure, just before the phone’s official launch event, which could take place as soon as today.

The new set of images comes from Google+ user Anton Kuznetsov, and shows the large vertical “Nexus” logo placed on the handset’s back.

As Droid-life notes, the device is indeed running under Android 4.4 KitKat, given that it features the whitened notifications bar, but no other details can be extracted from these leaked images.

One thing that can be seen there, however, is the fact that the phone’s case and screen are covered with fingerprints, which could prove very annoying when it arrives on the market.

Nexus 5 is expected to be manufactured by LG, and it might hits shelves in a matter of weeks, if not sooner, so stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
