Following the launch of three new DROID smartphones on the network of Verizon Wireless in the United States, mobile phone maker Motorola is rumored to plan the launch of a new one, called DROID 5.

The same as its predecessor, the upcoming mobile phone will feature a side-sliding design and should prove only a mid-range handset, at least this is what the rumored specs for it suggest.

Motorola DROID 5 is said to arrive on shelves with a 4.3-inch 720P display and to be powered by a Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 Dual-Core ARM v7 Processor with Adreno 255 GPU.

A 5-row QWERTY keyboard would slide from beneath its screen, and there will be 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory to complement the processor.

According to newcellphonesblog, which found said photos with the device on weibo, Motorola will also pack the phone with a microSD card slot, wireless charging, and NFC connectivity.
