One could place calls or download apps without unlocking the device

Not long ago, Samsung’s Exynos devices were found to be affected by a lockscreen bug that provided users with a short glimpse at the homescreen even with the device locked, and another similar bug was recently discovered.

Affecting Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone, the loophole would enable a hacker to download applications on the device, place calls and more.

Discovered by Terrence Eden, the same enthusiast who found the first issue, the glitch is similar to the first one, and offers a view of the last opened screen on the device, though only for a very short period of time.

However, performed repeatedly, the process would enable a person to access data on the device, make calls, and even head to the Google Play Store and download applications, as can be seen in the video above.

According to SlashGear, Eden has already contacted Samsung on the matter, and a fix will be released soon.
