While hosting a press event during Computex 2015, Microsoft took a moment to showcase its appreciation to its Windows 10 hardware partners.

To do that, it put up a big slide where the names of all these partners where displayed for everyone to see. As Windows Central reports, the list shows the names of some Microsoft allies we’ve already known, but the surprise guest to the party is Taiwanese company HTC.

The phone manufacturer hasn’t said anything about any plans of dabbing into the Windows Phone market once again, but there might be a possibility that HTC is indeed cooking up something but chose to keep it under wraps for the time being.

After all, earlier this year, we heard rumors that HTC and Microsoft would be partnering up once more to launch a Windows Phone version of the One M9 flagship.

The company had previously released a Windows Phone variant of the One M8, which we reviewed a while back and found to be quite a capable handset. But a few months after the One M9 went live, rumors about its Windows Phone counterpart died down.

Could it be that HTC has been waiting for Windows 10 Mobile’s launch in order to launch this version? That’s a possibility at this point.
