The cheapest HTC One family smartphone, the One V is about to receive a new software update that will bring several bug fixes, as well as new features.

According to Clove UK, software update 2.08.401.2 is about 47MB in size and is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves over the next few weeks.

Although HTC has yet to confirm the update, Clove UK claims this update brings support for the HTC Media Link HD, which will allow One V users to stream content to a larger HD display.

HTC One V owners who did not receive the update yet can manually search for it by going to Settings / About / Software Updates / Check Now. In case the update does not show on the display, users might want to check for it later.
